To My Sons

We live in a changing and confusing world.  I love my wife and children, and as a concerned father I want my sons to have the best chances possible in life.  I want them to be happy. I want them to be upstanding men who know what respect is, who understand the word "sacred," who love their mother, who believe in God, who love his creations, and who try their best to be their best.  Selfless men who are willing to stand up for what they feel is right and good are becoming a rare breed.

With the help of my wife (Bita), I am starting a series of letters to my sons.  For myself, they will be lessons I have learned, many from my experiences in angling, but for my wife they will include much more I am sure. The intention is to benefit all involved.  Trying to be a good parent is not easy, and we can use all the extra accountability and motivation possible.  I'm learning more and more that loving my kids simply isn't enough, I have to actively teach them.  As the letters become finished, here is where I will share them.
